Humanoid Robot Made by Students Gets Third Place in KRI Regional 4

Mechatronics Education Study Program students who are members of the Yogyakarta State University Robotics Team won the III place winner in the Indonesian Football Robot Contest Division (KRSBI) Regional IV in Malang State Polytechnic (01-03 / 05/2018). The winning team and a number of the best participating teams from the four regional contests will be invited to take part in the KRI-2018 National Contest which takes place on June 28 - July 1, 2018 at ITS Surabaya. First Champion KRSBI-2018 National Humanoid contest itself will be appointed to represent Indonesia in the International ROBOCUP Robot Contest in Canada

KRSBI Humanoid itself refers to the KidSize RoboCup Soccer Humanoid League division. The theme of KRSBI 2018 is "Humanoid Robot Soccer League towards 2050". Contest rules are taken from RoboCup Soccer Humanoid League Laws of the Game 2016/2017.

In the race in Malang, UNY sent nine representatives who were dominated by Engineering Faculty students. Putri Wulandari, one of the team members, from the Mechatronics Engineering Education Department revealed that her team's journey started from the group stage, semifinals to the finals. "We brought 4 robots, so during the race one robot acts as a kipper while the other as a defender and two other robots as an attacker," said Putri.

"After the competition in Malang, we have conducted several evaluations for future improvements and we ask for your prayers and support so that we are chosen as regional representatives to advance to the national level," he hoped.
