Accreditation of the Electrical Engineering Education Program at UNY: Efforts to Improve Educational Quality

Yogyakarta, (Monday, March 17, 2025) – The Electrical Engineering Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), is currently undergoing an accreditation process for two days (March 17-18, 2025). This accreditation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education within the Electrical Engineering Education Program at UNY. The assessment team from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Engineering (LAM Teknik) is conducting an on-site evaluation to assess various academic and non-academic aspects, ensuring that the established quality standards are met.

The accreditation assessment team consists of Prof. Dr. Tri Wrahatnolo, M.Pd., M.T., from Universitas Negeri Surabaya, and Dr. Eko Supraptono, M.Pd., IPM, from Universitas Negeri Semarang. They are conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the curriculum, teaching quality, faculty competencies, laboratory facilities, and student involvement in research and community engagement activities.

The Head of the Electrical Engineering Education Program at UNY, Prof. Dr. phil. Nurhening Yuniarti, S.Pd., M.T., emphasized that this accreditation serves as a strategic measure to maintain and enhance graduates' competitiveness at both national and international levels.

During their visit, the assessment team reviewed academic documents, conducted interviews with faculty members and students, and inspected supporting learning facilities. The accreditation results are expected to provide constructive recommendations for the future development of the Electrical Engineering Education Program. Additionally, students and alumni have shared their testimonials regarding their learning experiences in the program, highlighting its adaptive curriculum and the strong support provided by experienced faculty members.

Through this accreditation process, the Electrical Engineering Education Program at UNY reaffirms its commitment to producing highly competent graduates who are competitive and prepared to contribute to the fields of education and electrical engineering industries. The final accreditation results will be officially announced upon the completion of the assessment process.
