The UNY Robot Team again carved achievements at the prestigious exhibition held by Ristekdikti at the 2018 Regional Indonesian Robot Contest 3. Lowered 4 teams namely the Indonesian Abu Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI-Wheeled), the Indonesian Fire Extinguisher Robot Contest (KRPAI ) and the Indonesian Dance Robot Robot (KRSTI). The majority of the members of the entire UNY Robot team are students from the Department of Electrical Engineering Education. The results obtained are Champion 1 for the Wheeled KRSBI category, Champion 2 for KRSTI, Best Design Award for KRSBI and KRAI and Best Artistic for KRSTI. With a total of 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 award medals, the Robot Team, which is a channel for the interest and talent of Electrical Engineering Education students, is respected from other universities.

The KRSBI team made a convincing move to win first place and design the best with its Mobo Evo Robot. Starting from the group stage of the preliminary round, unbeaten in the next round until the final round that defeated his opponent with a convincing score of 6-0. The KRSTI team won two awards as the runner-up and the best artistic award with Robot Rosemary who danced Remo dance from East Java. The last award won by the KRAI team was the best design award with the Maestro Evo robot that uses a different design from other teams.

The achievements did not make the UNY robot team forget themselves, the results of regional KRI 3 became an evaluation of the work that had been prepared long ago. The results obtained in Regional 3 lead the four teams or fields to advance to the national level to be held at Yogyakarta Muhamadiyah University. In order to face the 2018 National KRI around July 2018, the UNY robot team continued to hone and improve the ability to obtain maximum results.
